Very large outside flat ground for that Jumping Castle for your child’s birthday or Baptism

Maria Assumpta Beach Haven Parish hall is behind the church (as you face the church entrance) and is available for hire on a regular or casual basis.

The hall is a large air-conditioned room with a chipboard floor and a kitchen. There are 90 chairs and 8 oblong tables, and 2 very large tables available for use. The large size of the hall makes it ideal for dance or fitness classes. Also suitable for hobby classes, funeral/wedding functions, etc.

The kitchen has an oven, four plate hob, fridge freezer, microwave, one wall mounted water boiling unit, and a dish steriliser An assortment of cutlery and serving plates, cups and two large teapots.

Toilet facilities are at the side of the hall.

There is free parking on the church grounds.

The charge for the rental is $10 per hour and a $100 Bond for REGISTERED Parishioners ONLY (Non-registered Parishioners BOND is $350 and hall hire is $25 per hour) is required at the time of booking. This Bond is refundable provided the conditions (Noted below Booking Form – scroll down please) and cleaning requirements have been adhered to.

Donation to our Community - if you wish to donate your Bond to our church that would be greatly appreciated.

Conditions of Hire

NO CONFETTI is allowed to be used in the HALL as it sticks to the floor and is difficult to remove

TIMES

You understand that the Hall hire is for ALL the time you are to be using the Hall which includes SET UP and cleaning afterwards.

At an evening function, all music and /or other entertainment must cease by 11.30 pm. The Parish Centre and grounds must be cleaned and vacated by 12.30 am. (Hirers are reminded that the hall is situated in a residential area.)

CANCELLATION: If you cancel less than 48 hours of your booking then 50% of Bond will be refunded and less than 24 hours no bond refunded.

ALCOHOL

(a) Unless prior permission is obtained, Alcohol will not be permitted on the premises

(b) Alcohol may only be consumed within the Hall. Liquor Laws must be adhered to.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES IS ALCOHOL TO BE CONSUMED ON THE GROUNDS OR IN THE CAR PARK.

Smoking or Vaping is not permitted in the centre under any circumstances

NOISE:

The Hirer/s will limit noise levels to comply with Auckland’s City Council’s Noise regulations and bear in mind that the premises are in a residential area.

SECURITY

(a) The Hall CANNOT under any circumstances be used by any Patched Gang members – the event will be shut down if this is not followed as we have had damage from previous gang member use.

(b) All Hirers renting the hall after 9.30 pm will be given a special confidential code and must set the alarm before leaving the hall.

(c) The hall is hired out on the understanding that adequate Supervision and security arrangements have been made for the hall, facilities and grounds, and for the general conduct of the users. The person who signs this agreement is responsible for the provisions in this clause.

CLEANLINESS

(a) After all functions floor must be swept and washed with hot water.

(b) Toilets must be cleaned.

(d) ALL RUBBISH Must be removed from the property

(e) ALL NAPPIES are to be removed from the property

(f) You AGREE that you will walk around the property at CLOSING and check that nothing is left on the lawns such as plates, rubbish, bottles etc.
