Sacraments of Initiation
Baptism
We become members of Christ. This sacrament incorporates us into the Church and enables us to share in its mission.
Confirmation
We are strengthened and receive the full outpouring of the Holy Spirit just as this was granted to the apostles on the day of Pentecost.
Eucharist
We complete Christian initiation by receiving the Eucharist, also called Holy Communion. This sacrament unites us to Christ, who lets us share in his Body and Blood.
Sacrament of Healing
Reconciliation
The sacrament of Reconciliation, also called sacrament of Penance obtains God’s forgiveness for sin and reconciliation with the Church.
Anointing of the Sick
The sacrament of the anointing of the sick exhorts the sick to contribute to the good of the People of God by freely uniting themselves to the Passion and death of Christ.
Sacrament of the Mission
Holy Order
The sacrament through which the mission entrusted by Christ to his apostles continues to be exercised in the Church until the end of time.
Matrimony
The matrimonial covenant, by which man and a woman establish between themselves of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring.
